Shelters closing in Happy Valley-Goose Bay

Shelters that were open in Happy Valley-Goose Bay to house evacuees from Labrador City will be closing today. All congregate shelters will be closing by 12:00 p.m. The decision to close the shelters follows the lifting of the Labrador City evacuation order on Monday.

Technical Briefing on Wind-Hydrogen Hub Land Reserve Today

Mayor welcomes Labrador City residents home as evacuation order ends

As of today, the evacuation order for all residents of Labrador City has now been lifted. The open fire ban was also lifted this weekend for the island, but it still remains in effect for Labrador.  NTV’s Beth Penney reports.
