Justice, News

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) have laid charges following an incident in Mount Pearl on Sunday evening.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m. emergency crews responded to Michener Avenue to reports of a possible collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian. An area resident reported hearing a commotion in the street at about the same time. Paramedics with Eastern Health assessed a female at the scene, who was released without requiring transport to hospital.

As a result of the investigation, the RNC have charged a forty year old male with Forcible Confinement and Assault. They have been placed in custody until appearance before a judge.
