Impaired driver arrested driving in opposite direction on Pitts Memorial Drive
The RNC responded to a call of an impaired driver who was reported to be heading east in the westbound lane on Pitts Memorial Drive, St. John’s last night.
The vehicle was stopped by police in the downtown area. The 65-year-old driver was subsequently charged with impaired operation and over 80.
He was released to appear in court at a later date and the vehicle was impounded.
