Travel not recommended in many areas of the province this morning
Across the province roads are snow-covered in most areas with the exception of the Great Northern Peninsula. Travel is not recommended on most of the Avalon Peninsula, south coast, and areas of central. There is poor visibility in many areas. Westbound Lane on the TCH near Clarenville is impassable
The westbound lane of the Trans-Canada Highway is impassable just east of Clarenville, near Deep Bight. A tractor-trailer is blocking the road. Clarenville RCMP is asking people to avoid the area if possible.

Fair driving conditions across the Island for now
Across Newfoundland, roads are bare with the exception of the Intersection Route 360 to Conne River which is partly ice-covered and from Perry’s Cove to Old Perlican which is partly snow-covered. Mostly good driving conditions across the Island
Roadways across the Island are mostly bare with good visibility. The exception is the Buchan’s Resource Road to Burgeo where the road is partly ice-covered with fair visibility.
