One person was taken to hospital late Sunday morning following a collision between an electric bicycle and an SUV.
Shortly after 10:00 a.m. emergency crews were called to Harvey Road, near the Paramount Building. A collision had occurred between an electric bicycle and an SUV. The operator of the e-bike was treated at the scene by first responders before being helped onto a stretcher. Paramedics took the individual to hospital with injuries not believed to be serious. The driver of the SUV was uninjured. Both the vehicle and e-bike sustained minor damage in the collision.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary closed the westbound lane of Harvey Road for a time as they conducted their investigation.
