The Zuiderdam cruise ship, originally scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, has been cancelled due to weather. The Zuiderdam with 2388 passengers was scheduled to depart at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20. The next scheduled ship to arrive will be the Volendam on August 23.

Premier John Hogan will provide an update on the wildfire situation in the province this morning. Hogan will be joined by Minister John Haggie, Minister Jamie Korab, and departmental officials. The update will take place at 10:15 a.m. and will be carried live on NTV.

An area of low pressure will push across most of the province today, bringing showers to most areas. Weather conditions helped hold the province’s wildfires to minimal growth this weekend. NTV’s Bailey Howard reports.
