Wednesday morning update; Warnings expanded and rain is on the way

The Rainfall Warnings have been expanded by the Environment and Climate Change Canada Weather in Gander. Heavy equipment on the move in Labrador City

This week the Iron Ore Company of Canada has equipment and personnel mobilized in the area of the ‘Warbler’s Walk’ section of the Frontier 53 Trail in Labrador City. People are advised to avoid the area and respect signage. Work will be ongoing until Friday, September 1.

Charges anticipated after RCMP seizes loaded firearm in vehicle

The RCMP is investigating after finding a loaded firearm inside a vehicle during a traffic checkpoint on Route 60 in Holyrood.
